A leak does not wait for a convenient time, and neither does a boiler that dies on a Sunday. AquaTec Plumbing & Heating works from Moorgate Road, Rotherham, S60 2AU (not a walk-in shop). If you have a burst pipe, a serious leak, no heating, or no hot water, call us and we will aim to get to you fast. We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and we take calls at any hour — if we are already on a job we will tell you — but we will not leave you on hold with a call centre either.
Phone first. The form on this page is fine for a photo and an address, but a live leak needs a conversation. Call 01709 456402 or 07401 429080. The mobile is also on WhatsApp if you need to send a picture while you are standing next to the stopcock. Email Enquiries@aquatec-plumbing.co.uk for anything that can wait until morning.
What counts as urgent: water where it should not be, a pipe that has split, a tank or cylinder that is overflowing, a toilet that will not stop filling, a boiler that has packed up in cold weather, or a shower valve that will not shut. What does not need a dash across town: a tap that drips, a slow basin, or a radiator that is cold at the top. Those still matter, and we will book them on the plumbing repairs page — they are just not the same as a ceiling coming down.
Before we arrive, do the simple things if it is safe. Know where your stopcock is (often under the kitchen sink, in a downstairs cloakroom, or by the front door) and turn it off if water is still running. Turn off the boiler if it is leaking or showing a fault. Move furniture and electrics out of the wet. Catch what you can in a basin. Do not go into a loft full of standing water, and do not start pulling plasterboard down unless you have to. If you can smell gas, leave it. Call the Gas Emergency Services on 0800 111 999, not us, for a gas escape.
We cover Rotherham and the surrounding areas from one office. Moorgate, the town, the estates and the villages around the borough are the core. We will travel into Sheffield and nearby towns for an emergency when we can get there in a sensible time. We do not have a Sheffield shop, and we will not pretend a van is already round the corner if it is not.
Once we are in, the first job is to make the house safe: stop the water, isolate the fault, and tell you what has actually failed. Sometimes that is a repair on the spot. Sometimes it is a temporary cap, a new length of pipe, or a part we need to order. We will say which, and what it is likely to cost, before we start cutting. We have not listed prices here because every call-out is different — ask when you phone, before we set off.
Follow-on work can wait until the panic has stopped if the house is dry and warm. A boiler that will not fire again belongs on the boiler repairs page. If the appliance is finished, look at the new boilers page. Everyday taps, toilets, radiators and pipework sit on the plumbing repairs page. Heat pumps are a longer-term option for some homes, not an emergency fix. The full list is on the reviews page.
Heating work on gas appliances is done by Gas Safe registered engineers (966833). Ask to see the engineer’s ID card on the day. AquaTec Plumbing & Heating — Moorgate Road, Rotherham, S60 2AU. For anything that can wait overnight, email or use the contact page. For anything that cannot, ring.
FAQs
Are you available now?
Call and ask. We will aim to get to you fast. If we cannot come straight away we will say so, rather than give you a time we cannot keep. We take calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
What should I do while I wait?
Turn the water off at the stopcock if it is leaking. Turn the boiler off if that is the problem. Keep people and pets away from electrics and wet ceilings. A photo on WhatsApp to 07401 429080 helps us bring the right fittings.
Do you cover Sheffield?
We cover Rotherham first and surrounding areas, including Sheffield, as a service area. Our base is Moorgate Road, Rotherham, S60 2AU.
Will I get a huge bill for an emergency call-out?
Ask when you phone, before we set off. We would rather agree the basis of the visit than argue about it on the drive. We do not publish call-out figures on this page.
Is boiler breakdown an emergency?
No heat or no hot water in cold weather often is. Call us and describe the fault code, pressure and what you can hear. If it is a gas smell, that is not us — use Gas Emergency Services on 0800 111 999. For heating repairs once the house is safe, see the boiler repairs page.
Are you Gas Safe for heating emergencies?
Yes. Gas heating work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers (966833). Ask to see ID on the day. For plumbing leaks with no gas involved, we still aim to get to you fast — call 01709 456402 or 07401 429080.
If the boiler needs a booked repair rather than a same-day call-out, see boiler repairs. If it is beyond repair, see new boilers.
For everyday jobs that can wait, see plumbing repairs or use the contact page. Common call-outs have their own pages: leaking pipe repair, leaking radiator, toilet repair and tap repair. For the boiler side of what we do, see boiler servicing.
For radiator problems and kitchen or bathroom plumbing emergencies, see radiator replacement and kitchen and bathroom plumbing.
